Siouxland Energy Cooperative is accepting applications for Shift Maintenance - ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN. Applicants need to have general understanding of maintenance procedures and be willing to learn procedures for the ethanol industry. Knowledge of discreet and 4-20 milliamp instrumentation required, 460 V 3-ph motors & power distribution desired.

This individual must be able to meet call in requirements. Applicants need to be hard working, self-motivated Individual. These individuals must be able to manage confined Spaces, climb ladders and steps, work at heights, lift up to 60lbs and be able to meet call in requirements.

Lead Shift Operator

Siouxland Energy Cooperative has an immediate opening for a Lead Operator. The successful candidate will uphold maximum production and quality standards while maintaining a positive teamwork environment to ensure steady state operation. The position will assume the responsibility of both the operation of the facility as well as the production staff for the duration of this 12 hour shift. This position will work closely with the Production Supervisor and Production Manager in an effort to reach production goals and requirements. 3-5 years prior ethanol plant experience required. Individual must be hard working and self-motivated. Individuals must manage confined space, climb ladders and steps, and lift up to 60 pounds. We offer on-the-job training and excellent benefit program.

Shift Operators

Shift Operators must be willing to learn new procedures in the ethanol industry. Prior ethanol plant experience is preferred but not required. We offer comprehensive on-the-job training. Boiler operation, reverse osmosis, chiller operation and cooling tower experience would be helpful. 12 hour shifts on a rotating schedule allowing for 2-3 days off between rotation. $2.00/hr shift differential for night shift.

Shift Maintenance

Shift maintenance personnel need to have general understanding of maintenance procedures and be willing to learn procedures for the ethanol industry. Knowledge of 4-20 milliamps, 460 V 3 Ph power distribution, and welding is a plus. Maintenance Shifts are 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and/or 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., on a 2-week rotation. These individuals must be able to meet call in requirements.


Physical requirements include managing confine space, ability to lift 60lbs, ability to climb ladders and steps and be able to safely operate company equipment. Previous experience is always helpful, but Siouxland Energy is committed to providing extensive training to the right candidate.
